A FAMILLE ROSE SQUARE-SECTIONED BALUSTER VASE
REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949)
民國 黃地粉彩通景山水圖瓶
Each side of the body is variously decorated with a gentleman and a boy
looking at a crane fying over their heads, a pair of carp, a mountainous river
landscape and a bird perched on a branch of chrysanthemum. The fared neck
and foot are decorated with stylised fowers and scrolls on a yellow ground
bordered by blue enamelled classical scrolls. The base is painted with an
apocryphal Qianlong mark.

A YELLOW-GLAZED CARVED ‘CRANE AND PRUNUS’ BRUSH POT
19TH-20TH CENTURY
清十九/二十世紀 黃釉雕瓷梅妻鶴子紋筆筒
The brush pot is intricately carved to the exterior with two cartouches,
one enclosing a crane below pine, the other a fowering prunus branch, all
surrounded by a foral diaper ground. The base is carved with a seal mark
reading Wang Bingrong zuo.

AN ENAMELLED PORCELAIN BUST OF A GIRL
ZENG LONGSHENG (1900-1964)
曾龍昇 粉彩女士頭像
The girl is modelled smiling with her hair in two plaits, wearing a white
shirt with incised striped decoration underneath a green shawl. There is an
impressed Zeng Longsheng zao seal mark to the interior.

Zeng Longsheng (1901-1964) was a celebrated potter at the Jingdezhen kilns
who specialized in fgural sculptures.
