The ferce fgure is modelled standing with one arm up holding a sword and 二十世紀初 礬紅描金福壽康寧瓶
the other arm raised in defense. He is wearing an elaborate headdress and
armour below vibrantly coloured robes. The vase is decorated with a seated dignitary surrounded by attendants, two
holding a banner, others holding auspicious items, between ruyi head bands
14æ in. (35 cm.) high and a faux bois decoration on the neck, shoulder and foot. The reverse has a
four-line auspicious inscription and three seal marks. The shoulder is moulded
with a pair of bat handles. The base with an apocryphal Qianlong seal mark.
