                                                        The screen is embroidered with various pairs of birds, including
                                                        peacocks, pheasants, sparrows, and cockerels, all amongst pine
                                                        trees and rocks. The wooden frame is carved with openwork
                                                        scrolling foliage, the stand is decorated with Buddhist lion fnials
                                                        and feet.

A FAMILLE ROSE RECTANGULAR ‘SHIZHONG
MOUNTAIN’ PLAQUE

二十世紀 粉彩江西湖口石鐘山圖插屏
The plaque is decorated with two steamships amongst
walled pavilions in a mountainous river landscape. The
scene is inscribed with the place name Jiangxi Hukou
Shizhong shan, which may be translated as “Stone Bell
Mountain at the mouth of Jiangxi Lake”.
