A RARE MINIATURE CIZHOU BEAN-
SHAPED PILLOW
JIN DYNASTY (1115-1234)
The slightly concave top is carved through
the white slip with leafy scrolls reserved
against a blackish-brown ground within a
double-line border, all under a clear glaze,
except for the unglazed base. Together with
a miniature painted Cizhou fgure of a
recumbent tiger, Jin dynasty.

A RARE CIZHOU PAINTED EWER
NORTHERN SONG-JIN DYNASTY, 12TH-13TH
CENTURY
The ewer is sturdily potted with an oviform
body surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck
that rises to a canted mouth rim, a C-form
strap handle and a slightly curved spout, and
is painted in brown with two fower sprays
with combed details on a white slip under a
clear glaze that ends irregularly on the fared
foot to expose the buff ware.
