BLUE-DECORATED CELADON-GROUND
‘PHOENIX TAIL’ VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is decorated with the Daoist
immortal Shoulao riding on a deer beside
a pine tree in which perches a crane, while
another is in fight above and two attendants
stand nearby carrying books and baskets.
