A YELLOWISH-WHITE JADE BIRD-FORM
POLE FINIAL
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The fnial is carved as a bird looking ahead,
the wings held close to the body are incised
with feathers, the tail is outstretched, and the
slender feet are perched on a tubular base.

A PALE GREYISH-WHITE AND RUSSET
JADE FIGURE OF A BIRD
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The bird is carved with open wings and
outstretched tail incised with feathers, the
underside is carved with the two bent legs
and talons. The stone is of pale greyish-white
tone with russet markings.
