A SILVER-INLAID BRONZE FIGURE OF GUANYIN
Qing dynasty
Heavily cast, the elegant figure portrayed standing and clad in long
flowing robes finely inlaid with silver wire forming clusters of scrolling
clouds bordered with scrolling foliage along the edges, the face with a
serene expression framed by the elaborately coiffed hair beneath the
cowl and a beaded necklace adorning the chest, the back inlaid with
a four-character mark in archaic script reading Yutang Shisou, wood
stand.
