Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
Boldly carved highlighting the texture of the wood with eight staggered
open smoothly polished shelves for display and a pair of integral sliding
doors at the bottom, with an all-over design of a Chinese inspired
mountainous landscape scene depicting a winding path flanked by
water flowing down from a waterfall, a minute solitary figure discernible
in the lower right foreground walking up towards the pavilion in the
distance; unsigned.
