           Meiji era (1868-1912),
           late 19th/early 20th century
           The cane handle in the form of Fukurokuju’s
           head, his mouth open to cry out, a small
           beetle crawling on the top of his head, signed
           Kogyoku, with a plexiglass stand, 10.6cm
           (4 3/16in) high; the game counter of
           rectangular form, decorated with Japanese
           macaques playing with insects, unsigned,
           9.2cm (3 5/8in) long. (3).

           AND A BONE-INLAID PLAQUE                  80
           Meiji era (1868-1912),
           late 19th/early 20th century
           The first a figure group depicting six of the
           Shichifukujin (Seven Lucky Gods) processing
           with many karako (Chinese boys) in an
           elephant-drawn carriage, signed in a red-
           lacquer rectangular reserve Yoshimasa to
           (Carved by Yoshimasa), with a wood stand,
           7.6cm (3in) long; the second a rural scene
           depicting farmers tending to the fields in front
           of their thatched hut, the hut covered with
           a large pine tree, signed Hikaru to (Carved
           by Hikaru), 5.5cm (2 1/8in) long; the third a
           wood plaque lacquered black, inlaid in bone
           and shell depicting an eagle perched on
           a blossoming prunus tree, steadying itself
           before chasing a small bird close by, framed in
           a painted wood frame carved with a key fret
           and floral motifs, unsigned,
           overall: 37.1cm x 54cm (14 5/8in x 21¼in). (4).  81 (part lot)

           A SHIBAYAMA-INLAID IVORY STAND
           AND AN IVORY MANJU NETSUKE
           Meiji era (1868-1912),
           late 19th/early 20th century
           The first a stand of rectangular form with
           a low shelf and rear panel, the front with
           a retractable brass holder, inlaid in typical
           Shibayama style on both sides and the rear
           panel with various plants, birds and insects,
           unsigned, 11.1cm x 6.9cm (4 3/8in x 2¾in);
           the second an ivory manju netsuke with a
           cockatoo leaning down on an ornamental
           stand, signed on the underside in a
           rectangular metal reserve Tounsai,
           4.6cm (1 13/16in) diam. (2).
