partially open and exposing his belly and chest, clutching a scroll in Shibayama style with six panels depicting an exotic parrot or eagle
one hand and dragging his treasure sack with the other, signed on the perched on an elaborate stand alternating with seasonal flowers, fitted
base in a red-lacquered seal Shoko/Katsumitsu; with a padded cloth with a simulated circular brocade cover, the cover embellished with
storage box. 17.8cm (7in) high. (2). conch shells interwoven among stylised butterflies, with an integral
gold-lacquer inner lid, and surmounted by a circular finial with a ho-o
