A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE AND IRON-RED-DECORATED
‘IMMORTALS’ BOWL
GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF
THE PERIOD (1875-1908)
The bowl is decorated in underglaze-blue with the Eight Immortals amongst
breaking waves above a band of key-pattern encircling the foot rim. The
interior is decorated with a central roundel of Shoulao next to a deer with ruyi
spray in its mouth.
