A PALE GREENISH-WHITE AND RUSSET JADE ‘POMEGRANATE’
BOX AND COVER
18TH CENTURY
The box and cover are carved in the form of two pomegranates growing from
a gnarled leafy steam, with a small three-legged toad to one side. The stone is
of a pale celadon tone with a few minor streaked inclusions and some areas of
russet skin to the cover.
