QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The recumbent bufalo is carved with the head
turned to one side and the legs tucked under the
body. The stone is of an attractive deep green tone
with some paler and darker inclusions.

The bearded scholar is carved wearing loose
fowing robes, with downcast eyes and a serene
expression to the face. The stone is of a pale
greenish-white tone with darker green and snowy
areas.
