A RARE PUDDINGSTONE BOWL
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The bowl is carved standing on a short foot, the walls rising to a slightly faring rim. The body is decorated
with two slightly raised bands. The base is carved with a ‘yu yan shu wu’ (The Library of Washing Inkstone)
mark within a double square. The stone is composed of varying caramel tones.
