A YELLOW JADE ‘INSCRIBED’ TEAPOT AND COVER
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
Each side of the angular teapot is inscribed with poetic inscriptions which
eulogise the brewing of tea, ending with an apocryphal Qianlong date. The
stone is of an even pale yellow tone with a faint area of russet to the cover.

「山僧後擔茶數叢，春來映竹抽新茸。宛然爲客振衣起，
自傍芳叢摘鷹咀。

草臨波色不如。」
