A GREEN-GLAZED INCISED ‘BAJIXIANG’
DISH
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN
UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE
CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The dish is delicately incised to the exterior with
the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang and is
covered in a vibrant green glaze stopping neatly at
the foot.

A LIME-GREEN-GLAZED ‘BATS AND
SHOU’ CIRCULAR BOX AND COVER
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER INCISED
SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1851)
The cover of the box is decorated in moulded
and carved relief with fve bats, wufu, encircling
a stylised shou roundel at the centre. The sides
of the cover and base are decorated with three
gnarled trees bearing the Three Abundances,
sanduo, peach, pomegranate, and fnger citron.
The interior of the box is glazed turquoise.
