A PAIR OF YELLOW-GROUND FAMILLE ROSE ‘DRAGON’ STEM
DISHES
19TH CENTURY, QING SHAN TANG ZHI SEAL MARKS IN IRON-RED
Each dish is decorated to the upper surface with a fve-clawed front-facing
dragon with the faming pearl amongst cloud and fame scrolls. The underside
of the dish is decorated with two confronting striding dragons chasing the
faming pearl, and the faring foot is decorated with further cloud and fame
scrolls all above a wave band to the foot.
