‘LOTUS’ BOWLS
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARKS
IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD
(1821-1850)

Each bowl is decorated with lotus blossoms on an
undulating leafy scroll above a lappet band to the
base. The interiors are further decorated with a
central lotus roundel.
Each bowl 6Ω in. (16.6 cm.) diam.

UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850); THE DRAGON DISH
WITH A GUANGXU SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF
THE PERIOD (1875-1908)

The group comprises: three dishes each decorated with four bold lotus fower heads
on a leafy scroll, the undersides similarly decorated; a dish decorated with a fve-
clawed dragon chasing the faming pearl amongst fre scrolls, the reverse similarly
decorated.
The lotus dishes each 7¬ in. (19.4 cm.) diam.
