A MYTHICAL BEAST AND A WHITE JADE
CARVING OF A BEAR
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The horned mythical beast is carved recumbent with
its bifurcated tail curled around its haunches. The bear
is carved seated with one hand scratching his ear.

TWO CELADON JADE BOY GROUPS
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
One carving depicts a boy playing a drum, holding a
drum stick in one hand and a sprig of lingzhi fungus in
the other, with a cat to the reverse, the stone is of an
even pale tone. The other carving depicts a recumbent
boy wearing long robes and celestial scarves, the stone
267 is of a pale celadon tone with some russet inclusions.
