     A WHITE JADE LOBED VASE AND COVER

     QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY

     The vase with an elongated lobed body is carved on the shoulder
     with four butterfly-shaped tabs and above the foot with four
     rectangular tabs for suspension. The slanted sides of the cover is
     carved with bosses, surmounted by a lotus pod-shaped finial. The
     stone is of an even pale greenish-white tone with concentrated
     areas of milky mottling and pale russet.
