A PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF
KSITIGARBHA
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The Bodhisattva is shown seated on a double lotus base, holding a
jewel on his left hand. He wears a five-peak crown incised in the
centre with the character fo and a cape suspending a ruyi-shaped
pendant. The stone is of an even pale celadon tone with some
russet inclusions.
