A MUGHAL-STYLE JADE TEAPOT AND
COVER
19th century
Of compressed rounded form, with elaborate
scrolling foliate handle and elegant tapering
spout with flowerspray support at the base,
the thin body finely carved with a large
central flowerhead to each side issuing
dense unfurling leafy stems, the translucent
stone of pale green tone, hardwood stand
and fitted box.

TWO ARCHAISTIC WHITE JADE
CEREMONIAL SWORDS
The first, thinly carved as a full sword with
confronting snake pommel, with incised four-
characters to the blade; the second carved
as a blade with two circular openings to
slot a hilt, incised to the blade with a four-
character inscription.
The longest: 27.2cm (10 3/4in) long (2).

According to the collector’s notes, thought to
have been acquired from Schulman Coin &
Mint, Inc., New York, at a sale dispersing the
