                                                             landscapes, scholar’s objects, flowering shrubs, and archaistic vessels
                                                             in iron red, ochre and green enamel, all boldly reserved on a rich blue
                                                             powdered ground gilt with floral designs, the cover similarly decorated
                                                             in gilt below with a large knop. 25.5cm (10in) high. (4).

                                                             A SOAPSTONE FIGURE OF LÜ DONGBIN
                                                             17th/18th century
                                                             Carved as the long-bearded Daoist Immortal standing dressed in a
                                                             scholar’s cap and layered garments tied at the waist, incised with
                                                             cloud and wave motifs and embellished with red and black pigment,
                                                             one hand holding a fly-whisk and the other pendent by the side within
                                                             the long sleeve, bearing a sword on his back, with two drilled holes
                                                             to the bottoms for fitting, wood stand, 22cm (8 5/8in) high; together
                                                             with a soapstone standing figure of a Qing Court official, 19th century,
                                                             dressed in official’s surcoat, court beads, and an official’s winter hat
