Step Four:
Click OK in the Layer Style dialog, and let’s add a third image—the one of the jet (an EA-18G Growler, shot out at Naval Air Facility El Centro during
touch and goes). Select it, and then copy-and-paste it into our collage document, onto its own layer. Double-click on its layer thumbnail to bring up the
Layer Style dialog again, and then try clicking-and-dragging each of the Blend If sliders (while pressing-and-holding the Option [PC: Alt] key). Here, I
wound up liking how it looked when I split the top-right slider and dragged it to the left, and then split the top-left slider and dragged it almost all the way
over to the right. Again, we’re just experimenting here—dragging sliders and seeing what works and what doesn’t. Let’s keep going.
