                        Knowledge  Network  is  an  R&D  project  to  establish  a  library  and  information  network  in

                       Malaysia.  It  incorporates  the  National  Library  as  the  main  body  and  coordinator,  and
                       Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems (MIMOS) as the consultant and advisor on
                       matters pertaining to networking infrastructure to various libraries in Malaysia. To expedite

                       the Jaringan Ilmu project, the National Library grants computer hardware and software as
                       well as other facilities to all state public libraries and selected Ministry/Department libraries.
                       This  project  will  indubitably  assist  libraries  to  attain  the  electronics  library  status.  In  this
                       electronic information era, it is essential for libraries to remodel their activities.
