1. Doctor And how long has the shoulder been brothering you?
2. Patient Oh, actually, I had a bit of pain in both shoulders in the
beginning, but the right shoulder has always been the worst. It
started about six weeks ago, maybe two months. And, gradually,
the pain in my left shoulder kind of went away.
3. Doctor Can you describe the pain?
4. Patient Well, when I move it, there is not a lot of pain. But even the
slightest movement causes a sharp, stabbing pain in my right
arm. And sometimes it spreads further down the arm.
5. Doctor Has the pain affected your work?

6. Patient Um, it’s difficult for me to use a computer. And I can’t use the
mouse. Typing sometimes is painful. And indirectly it affects me
even more when I sleep. Because, whenever I move, it causes
pain and it keeps waking me up.
