The gospel is ‘the power of God’

(Romans 1:16-17).

It establishes us in everything in life,

even giving us prosperity and health

(Romans 16:25, 3 John 2-3).

But it only works when we are

separated to it, as Paul says he was

(Romans 1:1).

This means we can’t mix it
with anything else:

the law, theology, or the wisdom of preachers.
And the Apostle Paul says most preachers

don’t preach the gospel

(I Cor 4:15, I Tim 1:7, Gal 4:17).

Jesus tells us the same thing:

“Don’t pour new wine into old bottles.”

“Don’t sew a new patch on an old garment.”
