This is like the acronym ‘GIGO.’ He wanted more GOOD stuff in his
robot brain so he’d relate to life better. He wasn’t looking for ‘Garbage
in,’ but instead ‘Good in.’ Of course it’s what we should all seek. When
we seek the good things of life we live in the good things of life. If we
listen to bad things of life, this is where we tend to live.
Our Subconscious Never Sleeps
This is how I view the late-night news. I used to watch the news before
bedtime. Then I heard a speaker talking about how our subconscious
mind never sleeps, and is always mulling-over whatever we have fed
into it – or to use the planting idea, what we have planted into it, like
apple seeds.
Well, we all know that the late-night news doesn’t have anything good
in it. It’s all about bad stuff, because that’s what most people want to
hear about. Psychology says the reason most people like bad news is it
makes them thankful that some folks are having a harder time in life
than they are.
The headlines in the news are about: killings, and wars and terrorism.
They are all about molestation and rape. It’s all about damage done by
fires and tornadoes and hurricanes and floods.
Now, when we watch the late-night news the last thing before going to
bed, what are the things our subconscious mind is going to think about
all night long?
What’s it going to play over and over and over again all night? It repeats
what it has heard about killings, wars and terrorism… about damage by
fires and floods.
Then we wonder why we don’t sleep well, or why we wake up in a foul
mood. We wonder why we wake up feeling guilty, fearful and stressed
out.
