DARE TO BE A.L.I.V.E. - DON’T BE A D.A.S.H.
ALIVE CODE will show you the difference between rational, self-helping
beliefs and irrational, self-defeating beliefs. If you use it; yes, if you work at it.
The Problem Solving Workbook is divided into ve lessons. Each lesson
teaches something about ALIVE CODE and how to use it to solve personal
problems. The rst two lessons teach rational-emotive philosophy and
theory. The third lesson gives you a chance to check your understanding by
taking a self-test. The fourth and fth lessons lead you to apply what you
have learned to one of your own personal problems.
Work at your own rate. Take time to understand the material and make it a
part of your thinking. If your problem seems like more than you can deal
with alone, by all means contact a professional helper, such as a psychologist,
social worker, or psychiatrist.
But rst try ALIVE CODE yourself. What have you got to lose?
LEARNING ABOUT ALIVE CODE PHILOSOPHY
Each letter of the word L-E-A-R-N stands for an ALIVE CODE idea. These
ideas together make up the general philosophy of problem solving using
ALIVE CODE.
L = Living fully and balancing your long- and short-term goals.
E = Every human is error prone including you!
A = Anti-self-downing. Against judging, condemning, or rating yourself and
others as a whole person while still measuring and rating your and their
behaviors.
R = Responsibility=-for your feelings mainly belongs to you!
N = Nothing is totally 100% bad, more than bad, or awful
