17.5 Let Personalize this Lesson…
As a single, how can you prepare yourself to be a better parent? Begin immediately to teach
yourself the habits you will need to be a good model for your children. Be responsible.
How are you doing as a parent? Are you spending time and energy discipling your children?
What are you teaching them? What are they learning from watching you as a model? How are you helping
them become more responsible so they can make more decisions on their own? Are you consistant with
your children? Do you back up your mate in parenting? Do your children know that you discipline them in
love, for their good? Do you provoke your children? Are you training them to become successful adults, with
good character and with a heart for God?
