PESKY: Take a picture of it with my special camera. I want you to
photograph the inside of the smallest thing there is, and the outside
of the biggest thing there is. My camera even has a flash attachment if
you’re in the dark when you take the picture.

BARGELLO: That sounds easy enough. Now, what about
transportation, and a map?

PESKY: Oh, you won’t need a map. You can start from anywhere,
and I don’t know where you’ll end up. As for transport, I have
invented two special machines to carry you to your destination. They
are in a garage at 325 Main Street.

BARGELLO: Machines? I can drive a jeep. Is it anything like that?
Will I need a driver or a guide?

PESKY: Don’t worry! I’ve taken care of everything. The driver will
meet you at the garage. He will operate the vehicles and the camera,
too. You just have to be the leader of the expedition.

BARGELLO: That’s right, I’m the leader! The Great Bargello
doesn’t bother with all that messy equipment! Well, I’m off, Dr.
Pesky. See you soon! (exits)

PESKY: Oh, wonderful, wonderful! Now I shall finally learn the
truth about the Two Extremes. I feel so great, I’ll bet I can lift myself
straight up. Grr! Grr! (falls over)

SCENE 3: The garage on Main Street

BARGELLO: (enters cautiously) Anybody here? What a weird-looking
place!

MINIMAX: (pops out) You are trespassing. Leave at once! (advances
threateningly)

BARGELLO: Hey, wait a minute! I am the Great Bargello! I’m the
leader of the expedition!

MINIMAX: You? (stops) Who sent you?

BARGELLO: Dr. Pesky. I’m going to find the Two Extremes for
him. Who are you?
