THE PROSPEROUS SOUL
Jesus went to supper with folks whose lives he touched. It doesn’t need
to be a four-course meal. If you prefer, you can keep things simple and
invite a few friends around for dessert and coffee, or you can host a
potluck party with a special theme or purpose. There's no need to
ponder what to say since, if you're really interested in the lives and well-
being of those around you, most people are happy to tell you about
themselves and what is happening in their lives. Open your doors and
your heart to friendship.
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple
courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with
glad and sincere hearts, (Acts 2:42 & 46)
Gaius, whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy,
sends you his greetings (Romans 16:23)
A FRIEND’S PRAYER
I hope the above Scriptures have given you some ideas on how to make
meaningful and lasting friendships. So, I will end with the prayer that
we started with, but now I want pray this for you, just as John prayed
this prayer for his friend Gaius:
““I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in
health, just as your soul prospers.”
(3 John 3:2)
