SESSION 14 : Song of Songs Chapter 6:1-7 (TPT)
Listen to what Psalm 25:14 (AMP) says on this matter:
“The secret (of the sweet, satisfying companionship) of the Lord have
they who fear, (revere, and worship) Him, and He will show them His
covenant and reveal to them its (deep, inner) meaning.”
The Bible also says in Matthew 5:8 (NIV):
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
The word pure in the Greek is katharos and means: without blemish,
clean, undefiled, pure. Sin pollutes and defiles, but the blood of Jesus
washes the stains away. How glorious is that statement! Jesus’s blood
has cleansed us from all sin so that we are the righteousness of Christ
and pure in heart.
Another important point is that in the Greek language, where it says
“will see God,” it actually means: “will progressively see God.” The
invitation to see Him for who He really is—is open to everyone who
professes Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. This is the hour to press into
God until this truth becomes a reality in our lives—and we see Him.
How our confession of who He is would then change! The Shulamite’s
experience should serve as an encouragement to do this. I know I am
pressing this point somewhat, but take a look also at what it says in
Psalm 17:15 (TPT):
“As for me, because I am innocent, I will see your face until I see you
for who you really are. When I awake, I will be fully satisfied, for I will
see you face-to-face.” How awesome is that!
