RADICAL LOVE

The Shulamite has become a garden of delight for the display of Jesus’

glory and splendour. In The Passion Translation, the latter part of verse
          3 says:

“I am fully devoted to my beloved, and my beloved is fully devoted to
          me.”

In other versions, we often read verse 3 as:

“I am my Beloved’s, and my Beloved is mine.”

I want to make an important point here, and it is this. Regardless of the

translation we read, the fact remains that this verse emphasizes the
necessity of being intentional about knowing our identity in God.

We need to know that we truly are His before we can surrender and
hand our lives over to Him completely. In the case of the Shulamite,

fellowship, yielding, and surrender have brought total confidence in the

          truth:

“I have Him fully, and now He fully has me.”

I want you to pause here at this verse and ask the Lord to reveal to you
what this means personally. I did this and was completely overwhelmed

by His love and grace. The tears began to flow as He touched my heart
deeply. I waited, and the words that came to mind were: utmost

security, unchanging devotion towards me, peace and life, health and
