THE LIFE OF A TEENAGE GIRL

               “What? Or maybe you should get a new attitude!”
               He snickered, his arms crossed but his gaze soft.

          “Anyway, why are you walking on a dark, foggy night?” I asked,

          shaking my head.
          “I should be asking you the same question.” He slightly tilted his

          head.
          “Well, I always go for a walk whenever I’m free at night.”

          “And I was just coming back from a party at my friend’s house.” He
          pointed to the street behind him—Bellbrook Crescent.

          “Oh, are you going back home?”

          “Yes. Are you? I mean—never mind.” He shook his head, but I
          nodded.

          “No, it’s fine. I think I should. I feel dizzy anyway.” I touched my

          head, feeling the burn.
          “You are? Then let me take you.”

               Even though I didn’t need help, I don’t think I could walk back
          home—it was about seven to nine minutes away, and my whole-body

          kind of hurt.
               “Okay,” I agreed.

               He then carried me and walked to my house. I smiled and was

          thankful for his kindness. To be honest, I’d thought of him as a rude
          guy, but…

               When we reached my house, I got down, and he placed my hand
          on his shoulder so I wouldn’t fall. I was still feeling dizzy, but it was
