“
ho’s a girl who loves making funny jokes and wants to
be a stand-up comedian?”
Well, if you haven’t guessed, it’s me.
Some people dream about being rock stars or actors. Me? I just
want to make people laugh until their stomachs hurt. I’m half British,
half Irish, and fully obsessed with comedy. Ever since I was five, I’ve
been practicing punchlines like they were math problems—only way
more fun. And if I’m lucky, one day the world will know me as the
Shauna Williams, best known for my jokes instead of just my messy
handwriting.
Anyway, today I was in the bathroom taking a shower when my
older brother, Aaron, started knocking on the door.
“Aren’t you done already?” he called out.
“No, give me a sec!” I yelled back.
“Well, hurry, doofus! I don’t wanna be late to school!”
I quickly wrapped a towel around my body and went to my room.
And if you heard my brother, yes—we’re going to school. You might
think it’s not a big deal, but for me, it is. I have a serious test today. It’s
a math test. And let me tell you something: I’m not good at math. Never
in my whole life have I been good at math. And tests are even worse! I
knew for sure I was going to fail anyway…
