               “It’s not really about the natives, but… ‘My father is a bus driver
          who circles Big Ben in London; he works around the clock.’”

               She  made  a  whisper-laugh,  which  made  it  even  funnier.  And

          actually, that’s my dad’s profession.
               “Gosh, stop—that’s actually kind of funny! ‘Clock,’ that’s a good

          one.”
               I smiled happily, because this was the first time a random stranger

          had ever laughed at my jokes (aside from my brother and Martin).
