brand-new one, which I could upgrade every three
years. It felt like an unbelievable opportunity, so I
agreed.
Then, the Lord showed His favor—on Monday
morning, my boss unexpectedly informed me that I
would be receiving a bonus. He had no idea I was in the
process of getting a car, but the amount was enough to
cover the down payment.
I began cleaning offices to help cover my car payments,
and with that, a new chapter of my life began.
A Promise to God
I told the Lord right then and there that I would use this
car for two purposes only: to take people to church
whenever I could and to get to work. I kept that promise
for over twenty years, and by God's grace, I never had
an accident or received a ticket.
At 65, I retired, but I continued to clean. At 85, I stopped
driving—but I still maintained a clean driving record.
Glory to God.
