RADICAL LOVE



          Secondly,  He desires  that  her breath  exude the  fragrance of apples.

          Remember how earlier in the book (2:3), Jesus was likened to the apple
          tree? She is the fruit of this tree because she has remained in Him.

          Finally, the roof of her mouth is said to be like the best wine, indicating
          that what comes forth from her lips is all of Him. He has covered her

          with His nature, His grace, His stature, His beauty, and His love. It is

          indeed the best wine—edifying, life-giving, and sustaining. A glorious
          illustration of the end-time Bride of Christ.


          Due  to  the  ongoing,  intimate  relationship  with  her  Bridegroom,  the
          graces and fruit of the Holy Spirit are now within her to such an extent

          that there is more than sufficient for the edification and encouragement
          of others—and it is all to His glory:


          “This  is  to  my  Father’s  glory,  that  you  bear  much  fruit,  showing

          yourselves to be my disciples.” (John 15:8, NIV)

          This is the natural outcome of an intimate relationship with Jesus: not

          only more than enough supply for ourselves, but an overflow for others

          to partake of.

          The Passion Translation of verse 8 is awesome and an encouraging

          reminder to those of us who want to be totally possessed by Jesus—
          that as we seek Him  above all  else, He will be found, and we will

          receive a revelation of His fullness and power. We will be to the world
          the ones that all of creation is groaning to see: “the manifest sons of

          God.” Not only that, Jesus will delight in His transformation of us into
