Mr. Andrew Carnegie was a great man, a generous
philanthropist, but a demanding and ruthless superior. Marie
knew that she was the only woman archaeologist he had hired
for any of his expeditions. If she ever wanted to lead an
expedition of her own someday, she would need to get noticed
