Back at a Café in Paris, ‘The Watcher’ received a call from his

assistant who told him where Nanosh and her shopping
stopped, indicating where she was staying. He instructed the
assistant to book him a room at a hotel across the street from
hers and that he would be there shortly. He stopped at a liquor
store and purchased a bottle of Glendronach, then happily
walked to his new assignment. After checking in at his hotel,
he sets up laser-beam listening equipment pointed at the
window across the street and hears Nanosh booking a flight to
Washington, D.C. He smiled and poured himself a drink. The

game was afoot. All he had to do was watch and wait.
Watching her was fun. Waiting was his vocation.
