been used. A complete collection of scientific periodicals also
too neat to have ever been perused. The chair was expensive
and indulgent. The desk was much, much more than the user
could ever need. There was a Bose Acoustic wave machine and

a number of classical Cd's that were obviously for show and
never got played. There was one antique vase on the shelf
intended to impress whoever because it had a sticker on the
bottom with the appraisal value. There was an Etoile de
Montblanc Etoile Précieuse Ballpoint Pen case. Tommy opened
it and indeed there was a $3500 ball point pen inside. All the
things that a typical egomaniac would decorate their office
with. The only things that looked the least bit out of the
ordinary were a case of hairspray next to the desk and a copy

of an old ratty-looking book on the shelf. The hairspray looked
innocent enough. So, Tommy walked over to the bookcase and
pulled the book off the shelf. As he did so, something fell to
the floor. He closed the book and placed it back on the shelf
and picked up the object from the floor. When he stood upright
again, Richard was walking through the door. He was startled
when he heard Richard's voice.

“What are you doing?” barked Richard.

“Just looking for you.” Responded Tommy.

“Well? What do you want?” said Richard quietly yet impatiently.
