The woman said nothing but made an expression of
bewilderment and fear that caused Trash to giggle. He waved
to her as he climbed into Steve's car. She was left standing
dumbfounded and cold, wondering what had just happened.
This was only one of a string of strange occurrences between
Steve and Trash. It was definitely in the stars.
When Tommy arrived at Steve's apartment, he found Steve
and Trash in the lounge, on the exquisitely ‘yard saleish’
furniture, drinking micro-brew beer and speculating as to the
nature of Tommy’s secret ‘trouble’ in between discussion of
television shows. Steve had suggested Tommy couldn’t get the
lid off a jar of pickles. When they stopped laughing Trash
responded that perhaps he had cooties and didn’t know what
they were or how to get rid of them. More laughter. Steve
surmised that perhaps Tommy had gotten a woman pregnant.
Much more laughter. Trash responded that perhaps he had
gotten two women pregnant and they had run away together.
More laughter. Trash expressed great disdain for the choice of
shoes Steve was wearing and that they did not accentuate his
buttocks whatever. Then he suggested that perhaps Tommy
had become a spy and screwed up so badly his own
government wanted to take him out. During the down
moments, between insults of Tommy, when they were
discussing TV shows, Steve mentioned the show ‘Suits’ and
said it was not bad, but too full of itself. Trash countered that
this was intentional and being 'full of itself' was part of the
show's charm. Steve surmised that perhaps Tommy had
