It was in the stars. It was always in the stars. There was
something odd and disturbing about these two. Normand
“Trash” Trailer and Steve Heinz were instant friends from the
time they met in grade school. Both with lightning quick wit
and had bad judgment to use it anytime, anywhere. They quite
correctly decided it would be more fun to work together to

poke fun at others than to square off with one another. There
was an odd inexplicable connection between them. They were
trouble.


Trash was opinionated, passionate, capricious, overreaching,
competitive, indulgent, crass, brilliant, creative, compassionate,
loving, intuitive, philosophical, charismatic, believable,

belligerent, irresponsible, hilarious, bothersome and lucky
enough so that no matter how hard he fell or how often, he
inexplicably landed on his feet. His life made no sense to
anybody, except to some small extent to Steve. Trash would
drink any kind of beer he could get his hands on, but was
partial to homebrews because of the freshness of the hops. He
had a theory that the effect from the hops was what set beer
apart from other spirits. He was absolutely right. You could
always tell when someone was drinking homebrew because

they could not stop smiling. Few people knew that the hops
plant is the closest relative to the pot plant. The effect of the
