Halfway through the phone rang.
“Hello?” Steve wondered if this was Tommy calling back with
more information.
“Are you wearing something small and slinky?” said the person
on the other end in a terribly bad impersonation of a sultry
voice.
“Trash! Unfortunately I am wearing something big and stinky.”
Steve said with a note of excitement. “And pray tell why do
you hope I am wearing something slinky? Do you want to
ravish my cute pink body?”
“Fuck no! I want to take pictures of you in that ridiculous getup
and blackmail you till you're completely broke and humiliated
for life, stupid.” Steve could not help but belly-laugh at the
absurdity of Trash's comments.
“Okay. What brings you this way besides extortion and
perversion?”
“If those are not good enough reasons, then I don’t know what
is! How about, I am going to grace you with my magnificent
presence because I am benevolent and kind? I am halfway
there.”
