Standard Operating Procedure – Non-Academic use of Campus Facility
Primary Responsibility: Registrar
Secondary Responsibility: President
Definition: Non –academic use of Campus facility is defined as using the campus facility for any purpose
other than gathering of more than one person for activities that are in line with executing function or
curricula of Georgetown American University.
Purpose: To create a standardized process for requesting the use of the campus for any non-academic
activity. The CEO/President of the University will grant the final decision of the request.
Time Frame: Requested at any time
Procedure:
•A letter of request sent the Registrar’s office for approval.

•For requests approved as well as those unapproved, written letters must be

•All correspondence must be filed in a Campus Facility Letter folder in the

•Prior to the use of premises there must be a signed agreement between the
