Introduction



               Georgetown American University's standard operating procedure (SOP) is a set of step-by-step

               instructions for routine operations at the University. SOPs aim to achieve efficiency, quality


               output, and uniformity of performance while reducing miscommunication and non-compliance.

               These SOPs ensure that all stakeholders are performing the various processes in the same way.



               The SOPs are outlined in simple steps. No procedure is ground in stone; there's always room for

               improvement. Please review each SOP and select the ones that are more aligned with your role

               and responsibilities at the University. If you have any suggestions on improving a step or steps in


               this manual, please communicate it with your supervisor. Improved procedures can only lead to


               an increase in productivity. And more productivity brings better results.
