Headline: Three arrested in motor vehicle theft ring
specializing in pickups
The suspects in this caseare believed to be involved
in over 30 felony cases with most of the stolen vehicles
being Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks.
Analysis
The Ford F250 and F-350 are continuously within the top 10 vehicles stolen in
Colorado. Open source reporting has also linked the Ford F-series as a pickup favored
by drug traffickers.

ATPA Analyst Working Group Business
Training coordinator position available: This is a minimal effort position that
requires the individual to seek out people/companies to provide 15 minute to one-
hour trainings on the bi-monthly calls.
We are also requesting suggestions for training/presentations during the
call. Even if you’re not interested in the coordinator position, we still need
individuals or groups to present at the meeting.
Focus groups: We are looking for focus group candidates who would be willing
to support the mission of the ATPA Analyst Working Group through work products
and other means. This is also a minimal effort position that could result in getting
published in magazines, awards, and other forms of acknowledgement.
ATPA AWG Guide: Please have any revisions, suggestions, comments, or
concerns to the group co-chairs by June 15th so that they can be implemented prior
to final submission.
Owner Apathy Thefts: If you, or someone you know, track thefts in your
jurisdiction that are a result of an action or lack of an action from the owner (removing
keys, failing to lock the car, etc.), please let the co-chairs know. Also, if you are
interested in joining the co-chairs studying owner apathy thefts, please email us.
AWG Newsletter: Contribution to the newsletter by all members is highly
encouraged. Please send your contributions to Matt and Sev by at least one week
before the first of the month.
Bi-Monthly Meetings: Prior to the bi-monthly meeting, consider reviewing your
cases and auto theft statistics and feel free to share them with the group. Also, please
contact the co-chairs if there is topic you would like to discuss during the next call.
