Update:
The Auto Finance Committee continues to work and join in on discussions with the IAFCI Auto Finance
Coalition. There are current discussions between IAFCI and The AFC to host a webinar on Synthetic
Identity and how it impacts the Auto Finance community as well as the impact in vehicle crimes. It has
been suggested the webinar which will be hosted by NW3C will take place in mid-August 2020.
Members of the Auto Finance Committee are also participating in a white paper being written by the IAFCI
Auto Finance Coalition regarding Synthetic ID and auto finance with topics to include the discontent
between the auto finance industry and law enforcement. This disconnect further strengthens the
positions of continually delivering the message through Communication, Cooperation and Collaboration
as well as the need for webinar training.
