Assess renal system:
• Evaluate the urine daily for protein, specific gravity, pH, and
Glucose. Intake and output record.
Assess pulmonary system:
• Evaluate the respiratory rate.
• Auscultate the lung fields to detect pulmonary edema.
• Assess signs of dyspnea.
Assess for worsening signs:
• Assess for subjective signs and symptoms as headache, visual
disturbances, and epigastric pain.
• Assess signs of HELLP syndrome as epigastric pain, jaundice,
malaise, vomiting and hematuria.
Assess reproductive system:
• Assess uterine contractions.
• Assess signs of abruptio placenta as dark red vaginal bleeding,
increase fundal height, abdominal pain.
B. Fetal well - being
Fetal heart rate:
• Check fetal heart rate every 4 hours by Doppler FHR device or
electronic fetal monitor.
Fetal movement:
